Its story
Nearly three years after sewing one for myself using my favorite baby wrap, this cleverly expandable messenger bag pattern felt like the perfect choice to showcase this fabric with its bold, oversized motif for which I'd been having trouble finding an appropriate model.
The gusset that doubles the bagās capacity is the standout feature of this design, and I enhanced it by adding a zippered pocket inside and dividing the large slip pocket into two more practical compartments.
Finally, I wanted to offer more versatile carrying options with a longer handle for shoulder or crossbody wear. This also gave me the chance to use chain connectors that add a touch of sophistication.
