“Madras”  CO-146

A satchel made of blood-red faux leather and multicolored madras fabric.

"Cogitations" Range / Collection Memory “Au Boulot !” is a bold and sophisticated satchel, both in shape and functionality. An ode to the sun and the energy of life.

Its story

With “Au Boulot !”, you are ready for all your professional commitments!

I wanted a model large enough to carry your laptop and papers, with plenty of pockets to organize everything while maintaining refined elegance. I've had my eye on the concept of a "chic briefcase" for a long time, and the release of this pattern came at the perfect time—it was ideal to complement the versatile Madras collection I envisioned.

Its bright colors and sophisticated curves will make you the star of your meetings.

I picked up this fabric in memory of my trip to Guadeloupe in 2005.
I loved its vibrant and varied colors, its ancestral pattern, and its textured weave that evoke the sun, warmth, smiles, music, exotic fruits, and the beach...

I kept it for a long time before deciding what to do with it, as I didn’t want to make a mistake.
After making a superhero cape for my eldest, I knew I wanted to explore other facets of its personality through a mini collection I called “Madras”.

A collection in which I wanted to explore the different interpretations I could bring to this fabric. I therefore chose very different patterns to push this concept as far as possible while broadening my own comfort zone.

Pair it with any other in this collection.

Charlotte’s baby wrap

After ordering a bag from stock, Charlotte realized it would be too small. I offered to make her a custom, larger version, and she sent me her baby wrap to transform.

Common questions

"I’m afraid someone else will buy it while I’m hesitating"
Each piece is unique.
I can send more photos or offer a short reservation option to give you time to decide.
Why are there "Near-Perfect" items and what are they?
As part of my sustainable view of the modern luxury fashion, creating as little waste as possible is central. You can learn more about this on my Soulful Values page.
Where/How are they made?
I make all my products in my workshop in the city of St Just St Rambert in the Loire department (42). I use several machines depending on needs: a professional sewing machine, an industrial sewing machine, a serger, a press (for eyelets, rivets, etc.), an iron press, and a manual skiver.

I carefully choose my technical supplies (interfacings, hardware, etc.) and some innovative materials (such as cotton-backed cork or silicon faux leather) from trusted suppliers.

My other fabrics and materials are mostly upcycled and come from renowned babywearing brands, dormant stocks from Haute-Couture/High-End houses (clothing and furnishings), scraps from High-End leather goods houses, as well as "seconds" from specialized boutiques (especially for faux leather) or from personal collections found at flea markets or on specialized second-hand websites.

Find out more about this on the Soulful Values page.

How long does it take for a custom piece?
The time it takes will greatly depend on the complexity of your request, the availability of components, and my schedule, which varies depending on the time of year. On average, expect between 4 and 10 weeks. The quote I provide will contain an accurate estimate of the timeline, and I commit to responding as accurately as possible to your requests, while respecting the creative and production process.
