When you're sorting through things, you hesitate… and that's normal
Maybe you're moving, you just lost your grandma, your grandpa's heading into care, or you just need to make some space... and you end up sorting through it all.
And then there are these things you can't just throw away: not really your style anymore, or you'll never fit into it again, but too loaded with emotion to let go. Except you'd rather they didn't end up back in a closet.
After all: loss, weddings, babywearing, passing things on... These fabrics all have something to tell.
Why transform your sentimental fabric?
By starting this process, you'll be able to:
- honor a person or a moment;
- share an inheritance between several children;
- carry on a family story;
- keep a memory… but in a living, useful form;
- upcycle instead of throwing away, and give it meaning again;
- make space without "clearing out blindly"...
It's a gentle,
mindful, deliberate process.
What materials can be transformed?
I work by hand, in my workshop, with all kinds of materials charged with emotion:
- jackets (leather, wool, cotton…);
- baby wraps;
- wedding dresses and formal wear;
- fabrics that belonged to a loved one: scarves, shirts, and more;
- damaged but meaningful pieces: baby pyjamas, bags;
- unusual, vintage, or precious fabrics...
I carefully study each material to check:
- its strength and hold;
- its thickness and possible reinforcements;
- the usable quantity;
- its compatibility with the chosen medium;
- its aesthetic potential...
To date, I haven't come across a material that can resist me ;)

After ordering a bag from stock, Charlotte realized it would be too small. I offered to make her a custom, larger version, and she sent me her baby wrap to transform.

The Essentials
An existing design, personalised with your materials (and/or mine).
Perfect if you don't have a precise shape in mind yet, or if you want to keep your budget in check — the Essentials start at €55. The shape is already chosen for you, everything else stays unique.
Full bespoke
My whole practice is open to you: backpack, crossbody bag, hip bag, handbag, sling bag, clutch, travel bag, pouch, pocket mirror, babywearing mirror, bomber jacket, ankle boots or slippers, kinusaiga textile artwork* — you decide.
You choose every last detail: shape, size, how it's worn, pockets, materials, thread, hardware.
Pattern, sketch, something that inspires you, or ideas we shape together: we start from what you've got. Almost anything is possible.
*Kinusaiga is a Japanese textile patchwork technique, made to be hung on the wall like a painting.
How does it work?
The full process, step by step
Worried about making the wrong call and regretting it? Don't worry!
I don't cut anything until you've signed off on a super detailed quote — which only comes after sketches, photos... and a lot of conversation.

1. First chat (video call)
You show me your fabric — what it means to you, its condition, its story.
We talk about what you want, your habits, your style. -
2. Exploring what you need
You describe your ideal piece: size, how it's worn, use, what you love, what you never want again.
I show you possible complementary materials. -
3. Concrete proposals
I work on your project and send you:
- design and pattern suggestions;
- complementary material options;
- a provisional timeline;
- plenty of photos, videos, and mock-ups to help you picture it.

4. Project approval
You choose your model and materials.
I send you a precise quote (model, details, finishes, schedule).
The project starts once approved, plus a 40% deposit. -
5. I create your piece
- Tracing, cutting, interfacing, gluing, sewing…
- You choose a total surprise or full step-by-step photo updates;
- Small adjustments remain possible if needed.

6. Delivery of your treasure
I sew it a custom dust bag.
I pack it carefully, send you the tracking number…
And we both wait, full of emotion.

Pricing & turnaround
How much does it cost?
Every transformation is unique: it depends on the fabric you hand me, its condition, the chosen design, the work involved, and any extra materials.
To give you an idea, most leathercraft projects run between €230 and €650, up to €1000 for the most complex pieces. Kinusaiga pieces start at €125.
There's often more than one way to work with the same fabric:
we talk it through together so the result fits your story, your needs, and your budget.
Payment in 3 or 4 instalments is available.
And the timeline?
Depending on the season and how complex your project is, allow 4 to 10 weeks on average.
Some projects move faster, others take a bit longer, especially if you want to be more hands-on with the creative choices.
Either way: we set a schedule together, clear and confirmed from the quote onward.

Okay, but who am I?
I'm Marie: in my forties, a husband, two children, and a fine-craft workshop in the Loire. After more than 25 years in tech, I needed to put materials, meaning and slowness back at the centre.
The trigger came from a blanket, sewn for the arrival of our second child, from fabrics that mattered to us: my baby wrap, a t-shirt from my late father, a scrap of my niece's lovey...
The same starting point as you today: a fabric you care about, without quite knowing what to do with it.
That's how I chose to turn these stories into pieces to wear, just like I'm offering you today.

- Can my fabric really be transformed?
Most materials (leather, wool, babywearing wraps, a loved one's clothing, sports jerseys or activewear, baby clothes and comfort toys, a wedding dress or suit…) can be reused.
During the call, I'll clearly tell you what's feasible, or not.- What if my fabric is damaged?
That’s common, and most of the time it’s not a problem.
We select the usable areas and I complete with premium materials to ensure strength and durability.- What if I have no idea what model I want?
No worries! I don’t lack imagination—or experience...
