I met Céline at the end of 2024 at a Christmas market I was selling at, and she was drawn to my concept. In early 2025, she reached out to tell me about her dad’s leather jacket...

She wanted to turn it into a bag she could use every day, so we looked for a simple yet functional design that would fit both her budget and timeline.
We landed on the “Bourgeon” crossbody bag, simplified to highlight the signature shoulder pleats of the jacket, while preserving as many original features as possible.

I suggested using the jacket’s elasticated waist band as the shoulder strap, extended with chunky chain links if needed. Then, inspired, I repurposed the sleeve tabs to create a small hand strap. When paired with one or both chain extensions, the bag can be worn at the hip, crossbody or over the shoulder.
Lastly, the original zipper is used to close the bag, and inside, I reused the patch pockets from the lining.

The result: a super rock’n’roll piece I secretly nicknamed “Patriiiiiiick,” which won her over with its format, its style, and its versatility.
Thank you for trusting me – especially with the direction of those pleats... ;)
Reading her review brings tears to my eyes, it's the incarnation of why I do what I do.

Voici la traduction de ton témoignage en anglais : This blue leather jacket, so loved by my dear dad... impossible to give away, throw away, and unfortunately, impossible to wear. Then I met Marie Alhomme... who gave me the chance to keep it close to me, to adore it, admire it, and wear it with so much joy. A beautiful love story between this bag and me, now I can't part with it! It's like having my dad close to me!

Marie's babywearing wrap

I searched for this wrap for a long time, and I didn't want to part with it.This leather jacket was the first luxury piece of clothing I had, for my 18th birthday. However, I could no longer use either of them for their original purpose. So, I decided to transform them into objects that would be useful to me and would remind me of the beautiful memories they had stored.

Common questions

What kinds of objects can you create, beyond bags and wallets?

Probably more than you'd imagine!

Here's what I can make from your sentimental fabrics:

Leather goods: backpack, crossbody, belt bag, handbag, sling bag, travel bag, tote, clutch, pouch, coin purse, wallet...

Accessories: pocket mirror (Ocebo'), babywearing mirror (Coucou Hibou), tie...

Textile/clothing: bomber jacket (child or adult), low slippers or ankle booties (sizes EU 25 to 47)...

Textile art: kinusaiga panel — a Japanese craft technique, very graphic, which transforms your fabrics into a framed wall piece.

If you have an idea that's not on this list, bring it up anyway. I haven't yet met a request I couldn't find some way to approach — and if I genuinely can't make it work, I'll tell you honestly from our very first conversation.

Can I combine fabrics from different people in the same piece?

Absolutely — and it can be extraordinarily beautiful.

Blending your grandfather's jacket with your grandmother's scarf in one bag, weaving together fabrics from three generations in a clutch... these assemblages carry something powerfully symbolic, and they often produce visually rich and unexpected results.

The only constraints are technical: the fabrics need to be compatible with each other (durability, thickness, structure), and each piece needs to be large enough for the planned cuts. But by playing with finishes — flat panels, patchwork, geometric or organic shapes — we can often work with small pieces and still create something coherent.

We take stock together during the discovery call, looking at your fabrics and imagining the possibilities. Bring everything you have!

What if my fabric is damaged?

That’s common, and most of the time it’s not a problem.
We select the usable areas and I complete with premium materials to ensure strength and durability.
