When I made âUn si beau jourâ, I was immediately inspired to create the opposite of this often dichotomous view of Woman, and the colors of the popular character Wonder Woman came to mind.
Immediately, a piece of coated denim from the dormant stocks of Haute Couture, a scrap of fabric from a collaborative project, a glittery babywearing wrap, and the leftover golden satin used for my eldest son's pirate sword were brought into my thoughts.
I don't use clutch bags myself, but this pattern, with its beautiful curves and harmonious proportions, inspired me to explore this path, especially since it allows me to repurpose relatively small fabric scraps while remaining entirely functional.
