A militant bag, a tribute to my sister Laurence, who fell victim to an aggressive form of breast cancer 14 years ago.

I myself have been under close surveillance for several years, and every year the time for medical checks (MRI, mammography, and ultrasound) is quite stressful for me.
Every year, ā€œOctobre Roseā€ is a moment that touches me deeply, even though I'm not exactly sure what to do, or at least I didn't feel ready to publicly engage in it.

This year (2022), I felt ready. I wanted to support a local association, Ama Rose, and do it using a skill that brings a lot of fulfillment to my daily life (and that Lolo would probably have been pleased to see me explore), sewing.

So, I created a bag to offer at auction. It was purchased by a woman who decided to return it to me this year (2023) to sell it again for the benefit of the association.
It was made from a babywearing wrap fabric and scraps of upcycled leather, in a practical and beautiful pattern.

What are the payment methods and conditions?

Payment can be made in several ways:

  • Right away on the website, by credit card or PayPal: your order will be shipped immediately ;
  • In 4 installments with PayPal (on the website, subject to acceptance by PayPal): at no additional cost to you, and your order will be shipped immediately ;

What are the delivery timeframes?

All orders (excluding custom orders) are shipped within 24 hours (excl. week-ends and public holidays). The delivery time then depends on the chosen shipping method (Mondial Relay or Colissimo) and the delivery location (France or abroad). Delays may occur due to reasons beyond my control (e.g., related to the carrier).

What materials do you use to make my pieces?

Your sentimental fabric or leather is always at the heart of the project. For the rest, here is what I use by default:

  • Exterior (beyond the fabric you provide): salvaged leather by default (cowhide, lambskin, goat, pigā€¦); optionally: certified organic cotton canvas, cork on 100% cotton backing, Nisiar (grape marc ā€œleatherā€)ā€¦ No faux leather, ever.
  • Lining: 100% cotton poplin, cretonne or satin (organic where possible), 100% linen canvas, wool or wool-silk blendā€¦
  • Interfacings (by design): certified organic cotton batting, Decovil Light or Heavy, Texon, Jeffitexā€¦
  • Hardware: metal only ā€” gold, antique gold, chrome, gunmetal, antique bronze, copper/rose gold, matte black, rainbowā€¦ Special colours available on request (extra cost and lead time).
  • Handles & straps: leather, canvas, your own fabric (if enough quantity), corkā€¦ in simple or bi-material styles. Or pre-made strap in 100% organic cotton or polycotton, plain or multicolour, per brief.
