ā€œAliceā€ N° CO-139

A backpack made from multicolored glitter canvas and a gray-blue, black, and silver-glitter woven wrap with a motif inspired by the Alice in Wonderland story.

"Cogitations" Range / Collection Femininities Alice in the Land of Contrasts! Shining brightly with subtlety, it's possible... A playful and chic bag with a clever and versatile format.

Its story

Alice in the Land of Contrasts! A traditionally masculine shape sewn in subtle shades, elevated by multicolored glitter that comes to life as soon as the sun shines.
Shining brightly with subtlety, it's possible...

Fairy tales are an endless source of inspiration. Mokosh is one of my favorite brands for woven wraps, not only for the quality of the fibers used but also for the level of detail in the patterns, and in this regard, ā€œAlice in Wonderlandā€ surpasses the interpretation by other brands.

This is the second time I've explored this very chic fabric with its subtle shades and silver glitter, and I immediately wanted to pair it with a scrap of black rainbow glitter canvas for a piece that's both chic and bold.

I've long wanted to play with this versatile bag that can be worn across the back and front. I searched to find the perfect design that combines clean lines and practicality. Its ability to feature a figurative panel convinced me. I also like its compact yet deep volume, numerous interior and exterior pockets, and a zipper closure that protects the main compartment.

A playful and chic bag with a clever and versatile format.

Pair it with the cute (Mini) Pouch ā€œRa-ta-tamā€ to match.

Common questions

Are your products authentic?

All my creations are numbered and come with an identity card that includes the type, model, version, number, detailed materials list, and care instructions.
I'd been working on a blockchain-based authenticity certificate, but I finally decided against it (for a host of reasons I might write an article about someday).

What do you do with your production offcuts?

Your own bespoke fabric offcuts aren't covered here: they're always sent back to you with your finished piece, unless you tell me to keep them or dispose of them differently.

As for my own production offcuts: nothing is thrown away if I can help it. They're reused in my workshop for reinforcement, worked into mosaics to create larger pieces, or used as is for small creations (keychains, bookmarks...). The rest is given away depending on its nature and size: to other artisans (such as jewellery makers), or to associations, community centres and schools for their workshops.

Is it possible to order a custom piece?

In addition to the original creations offered on the website and created on inspiration, I offer an on-demand solution to create pieces that match your emotions, designs that reflect you. To achieve this, I've created the Bespoke Service.

Through this service, I offer to create a piece that reflects you, using your sentimental fabrics, fabrics from my stock, or even fabrics I find specifically for you. My creativity and expertise, combined with your imagination, have no limits.

What materials do you use to make my pieces?

Your sentimental fabric or leather is always at the heart of the project. For the rest, here is what I use by default:

  • Exterior (beyond the fabric you provide): salvaged leather by default (cowhide, lambskin, goat, pig…); optionally: certified organic cotton canvas, cork on 100% cotton backing, Nisiar (grape marc ā€œleatherā€)… No faux leather, ever.
  • Lining: 100% cotton poplin, cretonne or satin (organic where possible), 100% linen canvas, wool or wool-silk blend…
  • Interfacings (by design): certified organic cotton batting, Decovil Light or Heavy, Texon, Jeffitex…
  • Hardware: metal only — gold, antique gold, chrome, gunmetal, antique bronze, copper/rose gold, matte black, rainbow… Special colours available on request (extra cost and lead time).
  • Handles & straps: leather, canvas, your own fabric (if enough quantity), cork… in simple or bi-material styles. Or pre-made strap in 100% organic cotton or polycotton, plain or multicolour, per brief.

Charlotte’s baby wrap

After ordering a bag from stock, Charlotte realized it would be too small. I offered to make her a custom, larger version, and she sent me her baby wrap to transform.
