“Scandinavia d'Automne” N° CO-172

A shoulder bag made from a silk scarf with Scandinavian folklore patterns, combined with red, blue, and purple faux leathers.

"Intuitions" Range / Theme Heritage A bold piece whose large size and numerous storage spaces make it the perfect daily companion for your professional meetings, shopping trips, and festive evenings.

Its story

Indeed, the “mystery sewing” collective sessions, a different and exciting challenge, always lead to interesting results! When you start, you don't know what the final result will look like, as the pattern pieces and assembly steps are revealed to us bit by bit every 5 days... so the choice of materials is not a matter of intellect but of intuition.

After the “Mosaïque” shoulder bag with its shimmering and contrasting colors, choosing the fabrics for this Podium was easier because I really wanted to use this silk scarf printed with my favorite pattern from all babywearing brands.
So when I saw that I had a large number of faux leather scraps in just the right colors, I knew I had everything I needed to create a bold piece that will not go unnoticed and will undoubtedly bring you daily smiles and confidence in yourself and your abilities.

Its large size and numerous storage spaces make it the perfect daily companion for your professional meetings, shopping trips, and festive evenings.

THE BAG, WHAT TO SAY. Mind blown.
Finishes carefully considered at every stitch.
Lightweight, sturdy, very good quality materials, colors chosen with care and taste, everything is crafted with applied expertise, I love it.
It’s my first bag and surely not the last!

Common questions

Where do the fabrics and leathers used in Studio Créatif pieces come from?

As a rule, these are never the fabrics you entrust to me for a bespoke piece: those remain yours alone. The only exception: sometimes a client explicitly gives me her offcuts and asks me to find them a new life elsewhere. In that specific case, and only with her agreement, they may end up in a Studio Créatif creation.

Outside of these particular cases, Studio Créatif pieces come from my own research: rescued leathers, fabrics found at flea markets or second-hand, dormant stocks from luxury houses, offcuts from high-end leather goods... I choose and combine them following my inspiration of the moment, with no specific order behind them.

What do you do with your production offcuts?

Your own bespoke fabric offcuts aren't covered here: they're always sent back to you with your finished piece, unless you tell me to keep them or dispose of them differently.

As for my own production offcuts: nothing is thrown away if I can help it. They're reused in my workshop for reinforcement, worked into mosaics to create larger pieces, or used as is for small creations (keychains, bookmarks...). The rest is given away depending on its nature and size: to other artisans (such as jewellery makers), or to associations, community centres and schools for their workshops.

Where/How are they made?

I make all my products in my workshop in the city of St Just St Rambert in the Loire department (42). I use several machines depending on needs: a professional sewing machine, an industrial sewing machine, a serger, a press (for eyelets, rivets, etc.), an iron press, and a motorized skiver.

I carefully choose my technical supplies (interfacings, hardware, etc.) and some innovative materials (such as cotton-backed cork or silicon faux leather) from trusted suppliers.

My other fabrics and materials are mostly upcycled and come from renowned babywearing brands, dormant stocks from Haute-Couture/High-End houses (clothing and furnishings), scraps from High-End leather goods houses, as well as “seconds” from specialized boutiques (especially for faux leather) or from personal collections found at flea markets or on specialized second-hand websites.

Charlotte’s baby wrap

After ordering a bag from stock, Charlotte realized it would be too small. I offered to make her a custom, larger version, and she sent me her baby wrap to transform.
