- Exterior: Woven Bliss babywearing wrap “Lady Bird - Off White / Purple Prototype” (40% cotton / 20% banana / 20% linen / 10% silk / 10% viscose) and neoprene (polyester/polyamide) ;
- Interior: 100% linen sheet ;
- Interfacing: 100% cotton interfacing and certified 100% organic cotton wadding.
Its detailed story
Amanda, a babywearing friend, had a deep passion for the color purple. She was also a huge fan of those birds from Woven Bliss.
Shortly after she left us, I received an end of a roll of purple neoprene whose softness touched me. I had planned a charity sale for her children using my current stock.
Instead, I decided to create three coordinated pieces dedicated to her memory, original pieces just like her.
One of them had to be the “Mini” version of this backpack, very original in its shape and functional with its volume and various pockets. Its “hanging nose” immediately reminded me of the “Nasique” (the proboscis monkey), and that's how it got its name the first time I made it in “Normal” size.
The second piece was the coordinated “Toblerone” shoulder bag.
The third was a wallet, the “En Ville” that I love so much, which I directly sent to her mother as a keepsake.
