“Éclosion”  CO-133

A small handbag made of cream synthetic upholstery fabric with a botanical pattern that fades from pink to orange.

"Intuitions" Range / Theme Nature Spring is here! A soft and elegant piece that combines vintage and modernity, an ode to renewal. A unique, versatile, and durable small frame handbag.

Its story

Spring is here! Tender buds are blossoming on their branches, a delicate scent is wafting from the plants, and the sun is finally warming us...
This soft and elegant piece, which combines vintage and modernity by blending a retro shape, distinctive finishes, and a fabric with a botanical motif in delicious colors, is an ode to renewal.

I stumbled upon this fabric by chance while rummaging in a flea market for pants for my youngest son (we are fans of second-hand items). Digging through a pile, I discovered this huge piece of synthetic fabric (probably for curtains) with a pattern and colors that drew me in despite myself. I took it with me, and destiny revealed itself when, at my next stop, I found four display samples of synthetic leathers in a harmonious range of colors (cream, pink, orange, and apricot)...
I had my color scheme, and I immediately envisioned creating a mini-collection around this fabric. Its name eluded me for a long time until I asked my “fans” (a lofty word) on social media, and when the word “Éclosion” was suggested, I immediately knew it was the right one.

As for the design, it's an exclusive model. It was initially designed by a designer who was thinking of me and all my contradictions: she imagined a small but functional shape, sturdy yet feminine... when she showed me her prototype, it was love at first sight, but I wondered how to ensure a durable and solid opening without compromising the bag's lines. She temporarily abandoned the project and created another one, still for me (see the “Marie” handbag).
But I couldn't get this draft out of my head, so I asked her for the initial pattern pieces to examine it and find a solution. On her end, she also resumed her reflection, and we came up with three different solutions, two from my side.

The piece presented here is one of my two solutions, with handles that depart from rings securely anchored on the exterior facade with straps sewn across the width to distribute the force so as not to pull on the exterior fabric at tight points, allowing for various carrying styles (hand, shoulder, crossbody, and even on the back). I also modified the external shape designed by her to have a panel that widens at the bottom and changes the overall proportions of the bag, making it even more robust.
The result is original, versatile, and durable.
I named it “Jump Squat” because it reminds me of the corresponding strength exercise, where you crouch to leap and use the impetus gained to rise and grow.

The other piece is here and shares a common base but also has many differences.

Common questions

"I like it, but I already have plenty of bags."

This one isn’t “just another bag”: it’s a true work of art with a soul and a story, not a simple accessory.

What's the difference between the 'Cogitations' and 'Intuitions' ranges?

These two ranges reflect two different creative intentions, but share the same level of care and craftsmanship.

Cogitations: these pieces carry something. They illustrate a reflection, stand for an idea, can spark a conversation. Feminism, heritage, ecology, identity... When you wear a Cogitations piece, you're making a statement — sometimes subtly, sometimes very clearly.

Intuitions: these pieces exist for pure pleasure. A colour that vibrates, a texture that draws you in, a graphic tension that knows how to stay elegant. No declared message — just the feeling. Guaranteed to give you a little thrill.

In both cases, I only create what I feel a genuine need to bring into the world. Not to please everyone: to speak to someone. Maybe you.

What is the protective pouch included with the bags?

Every bag I create comes with a bespoke protective pouch, made by hand in my studio.

This isn't throwaway packaging — it's a permanent accessory, meant to be used every day to store your bag when you're not using it, protect it from scratches and dust, or keep it safe when travelling.

It's made in organic cotton satin, sewn to the exact dimensions of your piece, with an organic cotton drawstring to close it. It's branded Marie Alhomme.

For wallets, coin purses, and smaller accessories, I wrap the piece in tissue paper produced locally and sustainably (Papeteries de Montségur, Loire), rather than in a pouch.

What are the delivery timeframes?

All orders (excluding custom orders) are shipped within 24 hours (excl. week-ends and public holidays). The delivery time then depends on the chosen shipping method (Mondial Relay or Colissimo) and the delivery location (France or abroad). Delays may occur due to reasons beyond my control (e.g., related to the carrier).
