"Intuitions" Range / Theme Heritage Absolutely retro and therefore incredibly “trendy”, this Mary Poppins bag fully embraces the vintage theme with its retro-patterned wrap fabric in autumnal colors.

Its story

This Mary Poppins-style bag, with its metal frames, is absolutely retro and therefore incredibly “trendy”. It's from a pattern test for which I was also the official translator.

I made two versions, and this one is the smaller size, for which I wanted to fully embrace the vintage theme with this retro-patterned wrap fabric in autumnal colors, combined with a soft and eye-pleasing powdery pink interior with natural materials.

  • Interfacing: 100% cotton interfacing, Decovil Light (42% polyester - 35% viscose - 23% polyamide), and BouncyFirm 160 foam.

This piece is based on the "Susanne" pattern by Serial BagMakers.

Near Perfect?

Like most test samples of a pattern, this bag has very minor flaws (a slightly visible thread of a different color on the inside edges, see the last photo), so it is offered at a slightly reduced price (instead of €367).

What are the delivery timeframes?

All orders (excluding custom orders) are shipped within 24 hours (excl. week-ends and public holidays). The delivery time then depends on the chosen shipping method (Mondial Relay or Colissimo) and the delivery location (France or abroad). Delays may occur due to reasons beyond my control (e.g., related to the carrier).

What are the payment methods and conditions?

Payment can be made in several ways:

  • Right away on the website, by credit card or PayPal: your order will be shipped immediately ;
  • In 4 installments with PayPal (on the website, subject to acceptance by PayPal): at no additional cost to you, and your order will be shipped immediately ;
  • Deferred payment by bank transfer (with direct contact according to your preferences): your order will only be shipped upon receipt of the full payment.
Can I modify or cancel my order?

It's possible to modify or cancel an order within 6 hours of purchase. To do so, please contact me as soon as possible via hello@marie-alhomme.com or by phone at +33(0)661356222.

Once your order has been shipped, I cannot cancel it. In that case, you will need to wait to receive it and then return it within 14 days of delivery, at your own expense, and I will refund you according to the terms outlined in the Terms and Conditions.

What do you do with your production offcuts?

Your own bespoke fabric offcuts aren't covered here: they're always sent back to you with your finished piece, unless you tell me to keep them or dispose of them differently.

As for my own production offcuts: nothing is thrown away if I can help it. They're reused in my workshop for reinforcement, worked into mosaics to create larger pieces, or used as is for small creations (keychains, bookmarks...). The rest is given away depending on its nature and size: to other artisans (such as jewellery makers), or to associations, community centres and schools for their workshops.
