“Jaune Coquelicot”  CO-211

A long, low bag made from yellow, white and black leather and a wrap fabric with a floral pattern in black, yellow and white, lined with yellow canvas.

"Intuitions" Range / Theme Nature Luminous, chic and practical! This bag fits every occasion.

Its story

Another successful mystery sewing challenge (organised by Shamballa Bags)!
The exercise involves choosing your materials blind — knowing only the quantities needed, with no idea of their final placement on the bag, which itself remains a complete unknown: size, shape, features, all a surprise.

This time I was truly inspired: I had at least five or six combinations I loved, and choosing was genuinely difficult. In the end, a popular vote convinced me to go with this one — and I have absolutely no regrets.
The mix of textures and colours delivers something chic and fun: the bright yellow leather, smooth, matte and slightly rubbery; the white leather with its marked, glossy texture; the soft, matte black leather; and the gentle wrap fabric with its floral print...

The bag's distinctive shape doesn't compromise its practicality one bit: the size is generous without being bulky, there are three pockets plus an overall zip closure, and it can be carried by hand, on the shoulder or crossbody.

Previous mystery sewing creations: the Rosée - Kawaï crossbody, the Cheminée - Floraison Automnale shoulder bag, the Échiquier - Perruches handbag, the Podium - Scandinavia shoulder bag and the Mosaïque - Alchimie shoulder bag.

Near Perfect?

Born from a mystery sewing challenge, this bag has a few subtle cosmetic flaws — the result of not knowing in advance where I was going, and making a few choices I slightly regret.

Common questions

Can I place an order by phone?

You can contact me by phone at +33(0)661356222, and I will provide you with a final invoice that you can then pay by bank transfer or credit card.

My package is lost/I haven't received my order… what should I do?

Contact me as soon as possible via hello@marie-alhomme.com or by phone at +33(0)661356222.

What do you do with your production offcuts?

Your own bespoke fabric offcuts aren't covered here: they're always sent back to you with your finished piece, unless you tell me to keep them or dispose of them differently.

As for my own production offcuts: nothing is thrown away if I can help it. They're reused in my workshop for reinforcement, worked into mosaics to create larger pieces, or used as is for small creations (keychains, bookmarks...). The rest is given away depending on its nature and size: to other artisans (such as jewellery makers), or to associations, community centres and schools for their workshops.

Why are there "Near-Perfect" items and what are they?

As part of my sustainable view of the modern luxury fashion, creating as little waste as possible is central. You can learn more about this on my Soulful Values page.

Charlotte’s baby wrap

After ordering a bag from stock, Charlotte realized it would be too small. I offered to make her a custom, larger version, and she sent me her baby wrap to transform.
