“Désert”  CO-028

A tote bag made from royal blue fabric, a babywearing wrap with an Arabesque geometric pattern in blue on a gradient background from orange to yellow, and orange cretonne with geometric patterns.

"Intuitions" Range / Theme Geometry A world of contrasts where the scorching heat of the day gives way to the chilling cold of the night. A practical and chic tote bag.

Its story

The Desert. The intense blue of the sky. The warm tones of the sand from which mirage swirls rise. A world of contrasts where the scorching heat of the day gives way to the chilling cold of the night.

To recreate this ambiance, I used scraps of sturdy fabric in a beautiful Klein blue and a small piece of a babywearing wrap I found because I love this Iberian-inspired pattern, which is also found in the lining.

This tote bag model is one of the first I made, and I was drawn to its dimensions, elegant shape with its beautiful central insert, and its finishes.

A large “tote” bag to accompany you in all circumstances, whether professional or personal.

Common questions

What are the delivery timeframes?

All orders (excluding custom orders) are shipped within 24 hours (excl. week-ends and public holidays). The delivery time then depends on the chosen shipping method (Mondial Relay or Colissimo) and the delivery location (France or abroad). Delays may occur due to reasons beyond my control (e.g., related to the carrier).

Do you ship internationally?

I ship worldwide. If your country is not listed, please contact me at hello@marie-alhomme.com or by phone at +33(0)661356222. With your complete details, I will provide you with a final invoice that you can then pay by bank transfer or credit card.

Do I need to register to make purchases on the online store?

It's not necessary to have an account to place an order on this website.

What do you do with your production offcuts?

Your own bespoke fabric offcuts aren't covered here: they're always sent back to you with your finished piece, unless you tell me to keep them or dispose of them differently.

As for my own production offcuts: nothing is thrown away if I can help it. They're reused in my workshop for reinforcement, worked into mosaics to create larger pieces, or used as is for small creations (keychains, bookmarks...). The rest is given away depending on its nature and size: to other artisans (such as jewellery makers), or to associations, community centres and schools for their workshops.

Charlotte’s baby wrap

After ordering a bag from stock, Charlotte realized it would be too small. I offered to make her a custom, larger version, and she sent me her baby wrap to transform.
