“Be Happy”  CO-124

A small “bucket” bag made with delicate pink canvas featuring the word “Happy” and gray ostrich-patterned faux leather.

"Intuitions" Range / Theme Whimsy A compact and clever format, bold colors... A vibrant and modern cocktail to accompany you on all your outings.

Its story

“Be Happy” is one of the two prototypes of my new home-made “Bucket” bag pattern.
This chic and joyful version speaks of happiness and confidence: the strong message “Happy” brings a touch of positivity and good mood, while the ostrich-patterned faux leather adds interesting texture and depth.

I wanted a bucket bag because it's a very versatile format that suits both casual occasions like outings with friends and more sophisticated romantic dates.

So, I chose to create my own pattern, and as often happens, inspiration strikes at the most unexpected moments...
I was drawn to the bag of a referee at a post-basketball game dinner of my husband. I examined it closely (but discreetly from a distance) to pick the details I liked the most, and then I made sketches until I got a result that satisfied me.

I chose to make two prototypes for the two versions that spoke to me the most. For this, I used a cushion cover, even though I wasn't very comfortable with its pink color, but after all, it's good to step out of one's comfort zone. To add a touch of refinement, I paired it with a neutral color and chose two different materials: a more sophisticated 'ostrich' patterned faux leather purchased from a seamstress, and more “relaxed” high-fashion denim that I've been using in small pieces for the past two years.

Thus, the home-made “Seau Tease” pattern was born, a small cylindrical bag that is both charming and distinguished.

Charlotte’s baby wrap

After ordering a bag from stock, Charlotte realized it would be too small. I offered to make her a custom, larger version, and she sent me her baby wrap to transform.

Common questions

Are your products authentic?
All my creations are numbered and come with an identity card that includes the type, model, version, number, detailed materials list, and care instructions.
I'm working on a blockchain-based authenticity certificate, I'll update this page when it's ready.
Can I change my delivery address?
It is sometimes possible to change a delivery address as long as the order has not been shipped. To do so, please contact me as soon as possible via hello@marie-alhomme.com or by phone at +33(0)661356222.

Once your order has been shipped, it is no longer possible to make changes. In that case, you will need to contact the selected carrier as soon as possible (but with no guarantee of results).

What do you do with your production offcuts?

Your own bespoke fabric offcuts aren't covered here: they're always sent back to you with your finished piece, unless you tell me to keep them or dispose of them differently.

As for my own production offcuts: nothing is thrown away if I can help it. They're reused in my workshop for reinforcement, worked into mosaics to create larger pieces, or used as is for small creations (keychains, bookmarks...). The rest is given away depending on its nature and size: to other artisans (such as jewellery makers), or to associations, community centres and schools for their workshops.

Do I need to register to make purchases on the online store?
