Cécile's dress N° : SM-072
Cécile wanted to pay tribute to a dress she had already transformed into a skirt by using the remaining fabric scraps to create a mother-daughter duo of small wallets.
Artisanat d'Art Made in France
I met Cécile through the women's entrepreneurship network "Bouge ta Boîte".
I had the pleasure of discovering her space and the workshops she organizes and/or hosts there. Botanical printing, public speaking, stress management... so many varied topics mastered by herself or the experts she welcomes.
At the end of 2024, she shared her wish to have a pair of small wallets made for her daughter and herself using scraps from a dress she had taken apart to turn into a skirt.
I offered her several matching fabrics and leathers in terms of color and style, and she chose a petrol blue short-pile velvet and a violet cotton poplin lining.
After a few hours of work, I handed her the duo just in time for Christmas.
Success!
We asked Marie to make us two matching coin purses, or more precisely, a mother-daughter duo, using a fabric that held a special story for both of us.
Her advice helped us bring our initial idea to life.
The result and the craftsmanship are impeccable!
