Émilie had a magnificent babywearing wrap scrap that had caught her eye (and mine too), and a very specific need: a vintage-looking bag that could be worn with a wrap strap instead of a traditional one.
The Ring Sling bag didn't tick all the boxes, and I scoured dozens of patterns until I found the one that would work.

In the end, she chose a shoulder bag that I modified to be worn at the hip, with a wrap strap and rings reminiscent of the Ring Sling bag.

Although larger than she had imagined, the bag was a delightful discovery under the Christmas tree:

[...] I want to thank you for your fantastic work and for your little gifts. I was very moved; thank you very much, it's truly lovely.

Morgane's babywearing wrap scrap

After entrusting me with the creation of her son's health record protector using a babywearing wrap that we both cherish and that her son adores, Morgane fell in love with a Mini Zip Wallet from my workshop... and eventually ordered a matching messenger bag.

Common questions

Is there a right time to start, or can I take as long as I need?

There's no good or bad time, only your own.

For a babywearing wrap, it can be transformed as soon as babywearing ends, or much later, once you've missed it enough to want to see it in a new form. For a loved one's clothing, there's no rush either: some people contact me a few weeks after a bereavement, others several years later. Take whatever time you need, I'll be here when you're ready.

"What if I’m disappointed? / I’ve had a bad experience before"

Every project is approved step by step with a detailed quote, photos, and regular updates.
Nothing is started without your agreement, ensuring a result that meets your expectations.

Are technical fabrics (sport, dance, running) as sturdy as a classic fabric once transformed?

It depends on the fabric, but in most cases, yes. The stretch and fineness of some of these materials (lycra, softshell or technical jersey, for example) are actually an asset for kinusaiga panels, and conversely, they're compensated for very well in leatherwork with reinforcements (interfacing, lining), just like any other delicate textile. These fabrics also tend to have excellent resistance to abrasion and friction, which is a real plus for bags and wallets.

We talk it through together during the discovery call.
