Customization or Bespoke Work — Knowing the Difference

Many people confuse the two, so let’s talk about it — and about what I actually offer here.

Customization means there’s an existing model as a base, and you can personalize certain aspects of it.
For example: adding an embroidered name, choosing a flap color from several predefined options.
Sometimes this comes at no extra cost — but most often, it involves a small additional fee.

Full bespoke work is what you’ll find here.
In other words, you choose absolutely EVERYTHING from A to Z.

No predefined model — I’m open to any pattern, and there are many of them…
You tell me your preferences in terms of style, size, shape, number of pockets, etc., and I’ll suggest patterns that best match what you want, or that can be adapted.
If none of them fit perfectly, I can of course design the exact bag you’re dreaming of.

The same goes for materials: whether you bring your own sentimental fabric to upcycle or simply have ideas in mind, I’ll suggest what I have in the studio to complement it.
Leather or fabric — together, we’ll find the most harmonious combination of color and texture.
You’ll receive plenty of photos and videos, taken in both sunlight and shade.
If needed, I can even send you fabric samples by post to help you visualize and choose.
The same applies to hardware and thread.

Your tastes are central and take priority, but I’ll still offer guidance thanks to my dual background as a leather artisan (technical mastery, durability, and coherence) and graphic designer (balanced contrasts and color harmony).

As you’ve gathered, this is truly a co-creation — an active process in which you play an essential and creative role.

All of this takes time, and therefore comes at a cost — but above all, it’s the guarantee of a result worthy of your memories and ideas.

So, which one speaks to you most — customization or bespoke creation?
