Mois Saintéthique 2026 — a month of ethical fashion in Saint-Étienne
Throughout April, the TRESSE Collective is organising the Mois Saintéthique in Saint-Étienne: ~60 free events around circular fashion, repair and local craftsmanship. I'll be there on 24 and 25 April.
What is the Mois Saintéthique?
Throughout April 2026, Saint-Étienne is hosting the Mois Saintéthique — the first festival dedicated to 100% ethical fashion, music and culture, organised by the TRESSE Collective (Textile, Responsable, Éthique, Solidaire, Saint-Étienne) with the support of the City of Saint-Étienne and Saint-Étienne Métropole.
~60 events across 40 venues. Runway shows, workshops, vintage fairs, factory visits, film screenings, brunches, DJ sets... Circular fashion, repair, secondhand, local manufacturing. The full programme is here.
Free — except for workshops requiring registration.
My participation — 24 and 25 April
Friday 24 April — Upcycling Runway Show & Creators' Market
La Commune, Halles Mazaret — 8:30 pm
One of my pieces will be carried on the runway. More soon. 👀
Saturday 25 April — Mend in Public Day
Place Waldeck Rousseau — 2 pm > 6 pm
Mend in Public is a concept championed by Fashion Revolution: repairing in public, in plain sight, as a visible act of resistance. Fashion Revolution Week takes place each year around 24 April — the anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse in Bangladesh in 2013.
That day, I'll be repairing bags on the spot. If you have a bag with history, one that deserves better than the bin, one that just needs a little care — bring it along.
Lend a hand
The TRESSE Collective is looking for volunteers to run the HQ (24 rue Président Wilson, under the arches of the town hall), welcome the public, answer questions about events, and talk craft. Extra hands are always welcome — all the info is here.
